Dr Joe Pretorius is a well-known and respected Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Bloemfontein. His practice is known for adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, where he specializes in operating on the heart, lungs and other thoracic organs. He emphasises compassion, efficiency and competence when treating his patients.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree from the University of Pretoria and his Master of Medicine Degree in Thoracic Surgery from the University of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape.

Dr Pretorius established his private practice in 2003 at Mediclinic Bloemfontein.
